“There is a time for everything and a season for every activity under heaven.” Ecclesiastes 3:1
Sometimes life’s schedule almost becomes a scandal.
Too many commitments, too little time.
Too many tasks, too little sleep.
Too many words with too little thought.
Verse one reassures us, for everything there is a season, a time for every activity under heaven.
If you are gazing glumly at an incompleted ‘to-do’ list today, remember the wisdom of Ecclesiastes 3: For every activity there is a season. We are wise to not attempt to accomplish everything in one season!
Reflections:
1) Am I taking on too much? (Be honest now!)
2) How can I ascertain I only commit to what God’s asking for this season?
3) If you feel the need to reorganize your priorities, you may wish to read, “First Things First”, published on August 19, 2012.
Thanks for reading! Please return by Friday, July 12, for the next post.
