The Lord says, “I will rescue those who love me.
I will protect those who trust in my name.
15 When they call on me, I will answer;
I will be with them in trouble.
I will rescue and honor them.
16 I will reward them with a long life
and give them my salvation.” Psalm 91: 14-16
God promises to protect those who know Him, who love Him.
He promises to answer when we cry out.
He promises to be with us in trouble.
In, Hebrews 13:5, He promises to never leave nor forsake us.
He promises to deliver and honor us.
He promises to show us His salvation for us.
All this because He loves us. And we love Him.
These promises do not promise life will be easy, or free from troubling challenges.
But, He promises to carry us through the trouble, to wait it out with us, and to honor our faith when it’s over. He also promises to share salvation with us. And that salvation is for all eternity, underscoring how temporary our trials truly are.
Reflection: In my mind, how do I reconcile the hard trials of life, with my faith in God?
